Lyn Huertgen
It is great to meet you! My name is Lyn Huertgen. I am a support teacher in both Lower and Middle School.
I wanted to share a little about myself. I graduated from LaSalle University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education. After graduating, I taught kindergarten in the Pennsauken School District in New Jersey for seven years. Then I was a stay at home mother of three for 12 years. I returned to the classroom as a substitute teacher, then a paraprofessional in an autistic Kindergarten classroom in the Hatboro Horsham School District, and a teacher assistant in a Philadelphia Charter School.
I've been teaching for over 15 years with a diverse student population, and one of my favorite things about teaching is creating opportunities for all students to grow academically.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family here in the Philadelphia area, and visiting with family in Pittsburgh. I also like to read, travel and cheer on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins!
I look forward to seeing you and your family at school events. If you ever have any questions. please do not hesitate to call me at school at 215-657-2000.
