Cindy Charlton
Hello! My name is Cindy Charlton, and I am an Orton-Gillingham tutor. I have been at Center School since 2021, and I love it!
I first became interested in teaching reading when my daughter was young and had difficulty learning letters and sounds. So, I changed careers and became an elementary teacher and then a reading specialist a few years later, with a Masters degree plus 30 from Arcadia University. Wanting to learn the most effective, researched methods for teaching reading, I earned LETRS and Orton Gillingham certificates.
After 20+ years as a classroom teacher and reading specialist, helping people read better is still my passion. Seeing a student read successfully is so rewarding to me!
Besides tutoring, I enjoy kayaking, traveling, gardening, and getting together with friends and family.
