There are two registration options to choose from, the full-day option or the morning only.

Full Day Program
Center School's Summer Learning and Enrichment Full Day Program is a four-week program
for students entering grades 1-8.
During the morning session, the program focuses on targeted instruction in literacy and mathematics to develop and maintain skills, practice effective learning strategies, and increase abilities in a welcoming and fun-filled environment.
In our interactive classrooms, emphasis is placed on language-based skill building, including phonemic awareness and phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing, while math instruction is provided to enhance number sense and problem-solving.
During the afternoon session, the programming will reflect enrichment activities central to Center School’s curriculum, with an innovative interpretation of STEAM:

For the “STE” portion of STEAM, campers participate in hands-on projects such as:
- Hands-on Science Experiments
- Use of VR materials
- Block coding with Ozobots
- Stop-Motion Animation
- Repurposing materials
- Reverse engineering
- Creating circuit boards
For the “A” in STEAM, campers will express themselves through various hands-on mediums, including creative arts and music. Campers will explore activities such as:
- Pottery and kiln work
- Expressive and self-reflective art on various canvases
- Watercolor and brush techniques
- Pastel Sketching
- Exposure to various instruments, styles, and origins of music styles and origins of music
- Rhythm and movement
- Voice control
For the “M” in STEAM, campers will participate in movement through a CrossFit physical fitness program and practice mindfulness with a trained mindfulness instructor. Campers will participate in movement activities such as:
- Cardiovascular strength
- Stamina and strength
- Flexibility and power
- Speed and coordination
- Agility, balance, and accuracy
Center School’s Developmental Guidance Counselor will lead campers through a variety of activities while integrating Mindfulness principles. Campers will:
- Learn what mindfulness is and why it’s important
- Practice mindful skills and strategies
- Participate in team sports, games, and activities
- Develop an understanding of good sportsmanship while engaging in team-building exercises
The full-day program runs from 8:15am through 3:15pm with a break for lunch. Students attending a full day will need to pack a lunch.
This full-day option always receives an overwhelming response, so early registration is encouraged. If capacity is reached, a waiting list will commence.

Morning Only Program
Center School's Summer Learning and Enrichment Morning Program is a four-week program for students entering grades 1-8. The program focuses on targeted instruction in literacy and mathematics to develop and maintain skills, practice effective learning strategies, and increase abilities in a welcoming and fun-filled environment.
In our interactive classrooms, emphasis is placed on language-based skill building, including phonemic awareness and phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension and writing, while math instruction is provided to enhance number sense and problem-solving.
Wilson® Fundations® is used in grades 1-2, and Wilson® Just Words® in grades 3-8. These programs specifically support decoding and spelling proficiency. In Wilson® Fundations®, handwriting is also emphasized.
The morning-only program runs from
8:30am through 12:15pm.
Non-Center School students are eligible for a pre-camp and post-camp reading assessment.

Additional information about the Summer Learning and Enrichment Program
Students that attend full-day programming between July 8th and August 2nd will need to pack a lunch and bring a water bottle every day.
Students are to be picked up promptly at dismissal. If a student is picked up 5 minutes later than dismissal, an additional fee will be charged at $1 per minute.
- Summer Learning Morning Only Program - Pick up is at 12:15pm
- Summer Learning and Enrichment Full Day Program- Pick up is at 3:15pm

Summer Tutoring
1-1 tutoring is available upon request for reading, writing, math, homework, study skills, and executive function skills at an additional cost.

Center School can support and educate students in grades 1-8 with average to above-average cognitive ability who have academic challenges related to dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, auditory processing disorder, ADHD, and executive functioning disorder.
Center School is unable to provide support for students who need 1:1 wraparound services, such as a TSS, BCBA support, or similar, throughout the day for behavioral challenges.
